Im currently working on a several projects (top secret but one involves a full orchestral score…YES !) and not had much time to post anything to my blog. A few months ago I made a little experiment in creating sounds of the natural world using different foley techniques. I have always loved the foley process but have never really made the sounds of animals or natural spaces. I took some footage of various animals and locations and set about making their sounds using everything from rubber gloves, tea towels, paper, water bottles, branches (sorry tree in the garden!) and thousands of other objects I could get my hands on. The result can be seen below. I backed up my creations with some other sounds from my BBC library and some short orchestral elements i made to compliment the footage.
